Introduction
Our goal is to ensure reliable and professional translations adapted to the client’s processes and tool, strict terminology, market and regulatory requirements.
Challenges
These included: learning how things work in the Nestle marketing department in Lithuania, and understanding the marketing operations process. The client also uses its own tool for marketing purposes, and we needed to become familiar with it in order to deal with incoming files and deliver translations.
Solution
During trainings, meetings and discussions, the client helped us to gain a clear view of all the processes, the client’s tool and our role. We organised a similar training for the linguists assigned to these projects (one dedicated translator and one dedicated editor).
Specific terminology and stylistic requirements were discussed with the client and we created a terminology database. This database is regularly amended and supplemented as client notes are collected and shared with the linguists.
The same team of linguists has worked with Purina product translations since the beginning, thus ensuring the brand’s terminology is consistent. The client values both their solid understanding of pet food regulatory requirements for labels and good terminology knowledge.
Nestle’s passionate involvement let us gain an understanding of their processes, lent efficiency to our communication and led to the provision of high-quality translations.
Results
Nestle Baltics entrust us with all the marketing translations of Purina pet food products and are happy with our professional translations. It saves them the time and energy they would have spent on their texts and has led to a long-term partnership.
